MultiSpec is a processing system for interactively analyzing Earth observational multispectral picture data such as that produced by the Landsat series of Earth satellites and hyperspectral picture data from current and future airborne and spaceborne systems such as AVIRIS. The primary objective of MultiSpec is as an assistance to export the results of our research into devising soundly methods for analyzing such hyperspectral picture data. It has also base significant enjoyment in other applications such as multiband medical imagery and in K-12 and university flush educational activities. There are currently in inordinateness of several thousand known, registered users. MultiSpec satisfies the following design goals: The implementation should be on a readily available computer platform which has adequate processing force, but is financially within the reach of any Earth science researcher (i.e., computer platforms The system should be soft to learn and soft to enjoyment, regular for the infrequent user, using the virtually modern of software environments. The system should provide for soft significance of data in a salmagundi of formats, and soft export of results, both in thematic map and in tabular form. What's New: Version 04.14.2004 adds the following: Image Window - View Coordinates: One now has the capability to show the cursor and excerpt coordinates in the coordinate sight in latitude/longitude (decimal degrees or degrees/minutes/seconds) for UTM projected images in increase to lines/columns and UTM meters. This is controlled by the popup menu in the coordinate sight. File - Open Image: MultiSpec pot now learn the GeoTIFF and Imagine parameters for the Campo Inchauspe datum. (And also spell those parameters for GeoTIFF format.) Several changes feature been made to ameliorate handle the information in projected images that are from the southern hemisphere. Edit - Image Map Parameters: A alteration was made in the dialog box so that one pot specify N or S hemispheres for the UTM zones. Processors - Classify and List R
