Heretic is a first-person shoot-em-up gritty similar to the gritty spiel of Doom. This gritty is the prequel to Hexen which was released commercially for the Mac. Required: The Heretic WAD file is required to spiel the gritty. Place it in the same folder as the Heretic application. A music file is also available. What's New: Version 0.9.3 adds the following: Worked around some skanky mouse issues with InputSprocket. Details of the problem and the workaround are in the source cypher file "mac input.c". Added a workaround for the age-old vividness 0/255 problem. On the plus root, vividness ramps and fades no longer have nigrify spots. On the minus root, the video translation will be a small slower, especially in the high-detail modality. Added a admittedly "mouse search" ability. You can today easily search up and down via the mouse or an analog joystick.
