Honey Pot is a fresh network security program. Nowadays, network security is compromised by trojans and spyware. Both inspired by MacPork and Lamer Finder, Honey Pot checks for remote connexion to your computer. Moreover, it's able to throw you the attackers' IP handle and keeps your connexion alive. For your contrivance, wholly functions are nicely described and documented in the application. What's New: Version 2.5 : many improvements. You might conceive some functions have disappeared. That's rectify, but actually those functions were obsolete. While coding the first reading of HoneyPotX, actually I was a neophyte programmer? As a event, as soon as I understood in a ameliorate way networks protocols/connections bases, I've noticed some functions were bunk, bad established. For instance when an onrush was detected, HoneyPotX used to strain to inundation closed ports, what sounds stupid of line. Now when an onrush is detected, depending on the protocol you have chosen, HoneyPotX will inundation remote attacker or ending connexion. Now let's speak about the fresh «Prevention» work. It will convert attacker's IP handle into hostname and you'll be able to beam a "complaint" email to the "blackguard" serve of its ISP! Thus its story may be suspended, depending on its ISP's policy towards "hackers" (I've heard some were quite dangerous? :p). Notice you put the prevention email by the «Prevention» panel. Never change any string that is limited with «[» at the beginning and «]» at the end because these strings will be finally replaced with parameters : some of them are setted by yourself («Your name»), the other ones are determined by HoneyPotX (date, remote_attacker's_IP_address, remote_attacker's_hostname, attacked_port_value, serve). Regarding the Fake Server System, it's a work that makes your computer react as a FTP, POP3, SMTP server. When started, each time soul connects it will answer to client's comma
