HP Comm Killer has one intent, it force-quits the HP Communications application which, under versions of 10.2.x and 10.3.x, will "advert" if the PSC (PSC1210 in my subject) is turned off or unplugged and then connected/turned on again. Then, when attempting to scan anything, the HP Communications application will advert. Why do I motive it? HP Communications is a "faceless" application; you can't force-quit it from the Finder. You motive to digging out the Activity Monitor, detect the HP Communications App in the list, cluck on it and "force-quit" the app. Until HP fixes the problem, HP Comm Killer will force-quit the app for you. Place it in your Dock next to the HP Director icon so you can easily posit the problem when it occurs. How much does it cost? Nothing. If you habituate it, please send me an email. Whoever responds from a locating farthest from El Paso, Texas wins. I don't jazz what you gain but you gain. FAQ's: How do I habituate it? Double-click it or place it in your Dock and single-click it (preferred method). It will force-quit the HP Communications application and then depart. Why did HP Comm Killer launch but not depart? If HP Communications is not running, HP Comm Killer will not automatically depart. I didn't jazz the require to baulk if it was running so you'll bear to depart manually (Command-Q). Maybe I'll posit this. Maybe HP will posit their stuff offset so my app isn't necessary. HP Comm Killer was created with Revolution v2.2 for OS X.
